Our 17th year is bringing plenty of changes you’ll notice. We’re updating our logo, rolling out a new website—and even offering some surprises for you throughout the month (more on that later). Despite these changes though, we’re the same Tangerine we’ve always been—the Murfreesboro salon with a whole lot of heart, an incredible team, and the best guests around. To celebrate who we are and how far we’ve come, we’re renewing our focus on our motto: Know yourself. Grow yourself. Draw others up.
KNOW YOURSELF
Knowing yourself means knowing where you come from, what you want, and what you can bring to this world. It means honoring your roots and knowing that no matter where life takes you, you’ll always have them to fall back on.
GROW YOURSELF
Just because you have a solid grasp of and appreciation for who you are doesn’t mean you never change. Growing yourself means not just accepting change, but embracing it. It means not being afraid to try new things—a job, a logo, or a haircut.
DRAW OTHERS UP
Drawing others up is the reason we became hairstylists in the first place. It means using your personal progress to improve the lives of others—not just your own. And to honor how important this philosophy is to us, we’re making our anniversary all about giving back to the community that has given us our roots and allowed us to grow.
In June of this year, we teamed up with other Murfreesboro salons—What’s New, Star Stylez and Roosters—for the United We Style event, an elevated hair show featuring live music and storytelling. The event was designed to raise awareness and funds for United Way and all the incredible work they do for our community. It was every bit as empowering as it was fun, and we felt so lucky to be a part of it.
To celebrate our anniversary, we’ll be continuing our support of the United Way. On July 22, we’ll be “rounding up” ticket totals to the closest full dollar amount and donating the extra change. And on August 12, we will donate 17% (for 17 years!) of all product and service sales.
Of course, we haven’t forgotten about the other community that’s done so much to draw us up over the past 17 years: our guests! To honor all of you, we’re adding a few more special Saturdays to the mix.
